QotD: In-Flight Entertainment
How do you pass the time during a flight? What do you bring in your carry-on?
Unless I have work I absolutely need to do, I read a non-fiction book, listen to my iPod, and jot down brilliant ideas in a pocket-size notebook. I loooooove it. Unlike Dave, I cherish the hours of no Internet, even on the long ATL to LAX stretch. Flying is basically the only time these days when I read a book for many hours at a time. Nerd that I am, I try to make it a work-related book. I tend to get better ideas in the air too, so I like that.
I don't actually NEED the music, but the iPod generally keeps my neighbor from talking to me. I live in fear of being stuck in Ted Strykeresque conversations.
